Marinated Salmon

My mother makes this recipe very often. It is easy fast and tasty. It last for up to 2 weeks and actually tastes better the longer it sits.

Marinated Salmon

INGREDIENTS:

8 Pieces of Salmon with the skin

2 medium onions cut in rings

4 cups of water

4 cups of vinegar

2 cups of sugar

2 cups of ketchup

(Pickling spice optional)

 

DIRECTIONS:

Start by making the sauce. Place the onion rings, water, vinegar, sugar, ketchup and Pickling spice in a large container with a cover, and mix well.

Boil a pot of water. Let the salmon boil for 5 minutes.

Carefully remove the salmon with a spatula. Place in the sauce. Best if served 2 days after it is made
