MYTH: Lubavitch’s goal is to make me religious.
FACT: Relax—we’re not here to sign you up for anything. Lubavitch is about education, not persuasion. We offer a space to explore Jewish traditions, culture, and practice at your own pace. Each mitzvah (good deed) stands on its own, and every step is celebrated as part of your personal journey. No pressure, just discovery.
MYTH: Lubavitch doesn’t recognize Reform, Conservative, or non-practicing Jews as “real” Jews.
FACT: Labels? Not our thing. A Jew is a Jew—full stop. According to Jewish law, anyone born to a Jewish mother or who converts according to Halacha is Jewish, plain and simple. In fact, the Lubavitcher Rebbe was known for calling out divisive rhetoric and championing Jewish unity.

FACT: Nothing could be further from the truth. Lubavitch is deeply committed to Israel, with over 150 centers and numerous educational institutions across the country. Many Lubavitchers proudly serve in the IDF, and practical and spiritual support flows constantly to Israeli communities.
MYTH: Women have a secondary role in Lubavitch philosophy.
FACT: Different roles? Yes. Secondary? Absolutely not! Women are the cornerstone of Jewish family and community life.
